Beyond Beta to accelerate early stage startups

Ambitious Danish robotics and drone startups are set to accelerate their business and tech development as part of the new national startup initiative “Beyond Beta”, which starts this month. 15 startups are all developing innovative robotics tech for various industries such as construction, maritime, health, security, farming and more.

Robotics and drone technology for trash-sorting at recycling centres, maritime search and rescue, bird scaring on fields, construction site assistance, underwater ship propeller polishing, exo sportswear and more – this is what the 15 startups participating in Beyond Beta are developing. This month they will start the new national programme, facilitated by Odense Robotics and supported by the Danish Board of Business Development and the European Social Fund.

Aerial Tools, ARIS Robotics, Drone Tracking, High Precision Systems, Monopulse, NAUST Robotics, Robotto Co, RobStruct, Roico, Spectrofly, SubBlue Robotics, Tonus Tech and Yuman are set to participate in the programme, which will help them further their development. The last two spots will go to companies that will be announced soon. Several of the startups already selected have also been or are currently in the Odense Robotics StartUp Hub at Danish Technological Institute.

Programme advantages

The startups range from brand-new companies at the idea phase to more experienced startups a couple of years old with a product on the market, but common for them all is that they are all startups in the early stages of developing technology that will help improve their intended sectors.

Through Beyond Beta, the startups will receive coaching and mentoring support from robotics experts, who will help them create their very own business plans, but they will also get exposure through Odense Robotics and have access to industry network and funding specialists. The companies will have up to 12 months to develop their businesses and technologies through the programme, which will run until June 2023.

All in all, the programme will help the startups validate their products, create strategic sales plans, craft great pitches and define their funding options.
