Odense Robotics, IDA (Ingeniørforening Danmark), the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Aalborg University, HARTING and an industrial consortium cordially invite you to a major international conference on Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) in Odense this March.

https://www.sdu.dk/da/om_sdu/byerne/odense
SPE is the new Physical Layer for copper wired Ethernet Transmissions in industrial applications. At the conference, participants can look forward to learning more about the technology, possible applications in the robotics market and how wired SPE communication will complement wireless 5G communication in the future!
Henrik Bindslev, Professor and Dean of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), the head of world-leading research institution in robotics will give the first keynote speech on the future of robotics and scientific developments in the field:
With robots we augment the capabilities and capacity of people at work. With that, we can better do what we must to protect the planet while making conditions in the workplace more agreeable to people. In this talk, we explore what robots can do today and what they will be able to do in the near future; and the implications on the workplace and on what challenges can be tackled.
Preben E. Mogensen, Professor and Head of the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University, a world-leading scientist in industrial automation and communication technologies, will give the second keynote speech:
To make r0obotic systems intelligent, flexible, and collaborative a different order of magnitude in compute power and integration is required compared to today’s embedded/isolated controllers.
ITS technologies are going to play a substantial role to reach the vision of Industry 4.0. The presentation will give examples from the AAU 5G Smart Production Lab on moving critical real-time tasks to Edge Cloud and being connected through private 5G networks.
