Recycling of materials is a huge and necessary area of effort for the healthcare sector. It is both about green transition and freeing up resources for an already stressed staff.
Do you want to help find the robotic solutions?
Get a bigger network and new inspiration, when Danish Technological Institute and Odense Robotics invites you to visit Odense University Hospital on 22 June 2023.
The healthcare system’s climate footprint is a burning platform
Huge amounts of resources are used in the operation of the country’s hospitals and health institutions. The amount of gloves, syringes and uniforms that smoke directly in the bin after one use is a clear example.
The green transition in the healthcare sector is far behind, and the potential for recycling is therefore great.
And here robots and automation are part of the solution. A wide range of technologies are at play – from item identification, sorting and transport to sterilisation.
We are therefore establishing a free network on green transition in the health sector. The network will convey needs and challenges from the end users and create space for exchange and cooperation between end users and companies as well as between the participating companies.
Inspiration visit at Odense University Hospital
On 22 June 2023, we have been allowed to visit Odense University Hospital (OUH), and you can come along for free.
Here you get a tour where you can see with your own eyes the many potentials for automation and recycling in the hospital sector – and where the barriers are both technical, practical and in relation to work processes.
In addition, Region Southern Denmark will talk about their areas of action within green transition, how they approach the task, and where they need collaboration partners.
