Do you have a dream of becoming an entrepreneur? Perhaps you have an innovative idea involving robot technology? Maybe you have already taken the leap? Regardless of your circumstances, StartUp Walk-In is the place for you.

On 18 November 2021 at Danish Technological Institute in Odense, you can meet Lasse Kieffer and learn more about starting a robot company and get useful tips to help you on the next steps of your journey.

Meet Lasse Kieffer

Lasse Kieffer was quite young when he bought his first old television set at a local garage sale, which he then quickly repaired and sold back to someone in the local community.

As a teenager, he made his own security system for his bedroom that flashed and made noises announcing the arrival of guests – a bedroom that more resembled a laboratory.

Years later, Lasse Kieffer worked at Universal Robots, back when it was in its early stages, where he tinkered with the latest robot tech. At the time, he was working 16 hours a day, seven days a week, together with his two colleagues, with whom he would later found his company Purple Robotics.

After Universal Robots, he went traveling with his mother for a year where they visited several islands around Denmark, and when he returned home he got the idea to make a vacuum gripper for a robot arm. He gathered a team and 364 days after establishing Purple Robotics, he sold everything.

Today, Lasse Kieffer is an entrepreneur who invests in scaleups with strong teams that execute swiftly. He has invested in everything from a machine that cleans straws to a robot investment fund.

At StartUp Walk-In on 18 November 2021, he will share his journey so far and what in his opinion is the most important things when starting a startup.
