Spaceline is building a brand-new headquarters in HCA Airport’s business park to support its rapid international growth. The company expects to expand from 15 to 100 employees by the end of 2026.
After several years as a tenant, Odense-based Spaceline is now establishing a new 1,000 m² headquarters in HCA Airport’s business park.
Using a combination of sensor and camera data from its own stratospheric balloons and other sources – such as satellites – Spaceline can monitor everything from remote land areas to critical infrastructure and endangered ecosystems.
By using stratospheric balloons instead of satellites, Spaceline can provide continuous monitoring over extended periods and in near real time – at a significantly lower cost compared to traditional satellite technology.

Gaining international attention
The company’s unique combination of technologies has already attracted international attention, and Spaceline expects to grow from its current 15 employees to 100 by the end of 2026. The decision to build its own headquarters will help support this anticipated growth.
Strong synergies between drone cluster and space industry
Odense Mayor Peter Rahbæk Juel highlights that Odense and Funen have a strong ecosystem within drones and robotics, largely built on world-leading research at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). Spaceline originated from SDU’s research environment and maintains close collaboration with the local drone and robotics cluster.

I’m delighted that Spaceline is achieving such success with their technology, which creates a new link between drones and satellites. Their decision to establish a new headquarters at HCA Airport strengthens the airport’s ecosystem year by year. Unique setting and collaboration at HCA Airport
From the airport’s perspective, Hans Okholm Vejrup, CEO of HCA Airport, sees Spaceline’s decision as a testament to the airport’s appeal as a business environment – with its drone ecosystem and close cooperation with the Danish Armed Forces.
Spaceline’s new headquarters will be located in HCA Airport’s newly developed four-hectare section of the business park. This new section, established in early 2025, is already fully leased following Spaceline’s agreement.
