Hospital Automation Summit
Want to learn more about hospital automation and technology? Want new insights on the hospital sector, inspiration, and connections? Odense Robotics, Danish Life Science Cluster, Danish Technological Institute, Centre for Clinical Robots, and Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark have teamed up to once again host the Hospital Automation Summit in May. The event is open to all those interested in healthcare automation.
The Hospital Automation Summit 2023 will take place on 24 May and aims to provide participants with unique insights into the hospital market for automation and robot technology. Showcasing the opportunities and challenges of the hospital sector, companies can look forward to learning more about the sector’s specific needs and market potential.
An exhibition will also be part of the summit where companies can display their products and innovation projects.
Automating the hospital sector
Automation solutions are an important part of future healthcare, and a lot of solutions are available already ‒ but what needs do hospitals have? And what does the procurement process from idea to implementation look like? The summit delves into these questions and more. Here hospitals will have the opportunity to optain new learnings on how to automate processes through customised solutions for their specific needs. Companies will be able to see the hospitals’ wish lists from the robotics industry and discuss these with representatives from end users from hospitals in Denmark.
During the summit, participants will get a clearer understanding of robotics barriers in the healthcare sector through a presentation by Louise Halgaard Gotfredsen, Specialist Consultant at Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark, and Birgitte Østergaard Sørensen, Business Manager at Danish Technological Institute.
“There is a great need for labour-saving and personnel-relieving technologies in hospitals, and automation solutions can be an important piece of the puzzle. The technology is well on its way and the need is there. But why have we not yet seen more automation solutions in Danish hospitals? Birgitte and I look forward to sharing our insights on the significant barriers that create the current challenges for both companies and hospitals. Barriers that we must address together across the industry and healthcare sector to pave the way for automation solutions to be implemented and create value in hospitals,” says Louise Halgaard Gotfredsen.
Exciting programme
A finalised programme can be found on our website and includes talks about the future of hospital automation, and how automation units can relieve healthcare staff from non-patient-centered tasks.
Participants will also get to hear from Odense University Hospital, Zealand University Hospital, Aalborg University Hospital, and three hospital units from the Region of Southern Denmark. And finally, the summit will also feature a discussion panel on how the hospital sector can benefit from the robotics and automation industries’ innovative technologies – and which barriers we need to remove together.
The Hospital Automation Summit 2023 is an excellent opportunity for participants to gain insights, expand their network and get new ideas for innovation within healthcare automation.
