Odense Robotics CEO seeks new challenges

After eight years at the helm, Mikkel Christoffersen has decided to seek new challenges and will cease in his role as CEO for Odense Robotics in the spring. Odense Robotics will now start looking for a new CEO to realise the cluster’s strong ambitions on behalf of Denmark’s robot, automation and drone companies.
“After eight years as CEO, I have decided it’s time for me to explore new challenges and make way for new leadership to build on Odense Robotics’ strong foundation. It’s been a huge privilege to build Odense Robotics up to the national cluster it is today and work with so many fantastic companies, partners and colleagues. I’m grateful to have been a part of this journey and am proud to pass on such a strong cluster to the next CEO,” says Mikkel Christoffersen, CEO, Odense Robotics.
Mikkel Christoffersen plans to continue to work within the robotics industry, applying his sector knowledge as a consultant with a strong focus on startups and business development.
Exceptional journey
Mikkel has played an instrumental role in bringing the cluster to where it is today. Since 2015, Mikkel has built a regional cluster and later secured Odense Robotics the position as one of Denmark’s national clusters. Key to this transformation has been Mikkel’s ability to highlight the robot, automation and drone industry’s strong potential for growth and innovation, says Henrik Anker, Chairman of the Board, Odense Robotics.
“Mikkel Christoffersen has done an exceptional job in growing the cluster and securing the strong position it has today. Denmark’s robotics, automation and drone industry is now recognised as one of Denmark’s strongest growth and innovation sectors, and this achievement is thanks to Mikkel’s outstanding efforts together with the rest of the team at Odense Robotics. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Mikkel Christoffersen for his remarkable contribution,” says Henrik Anker.
“The Board will now start looking for a new, strong leader who can continue our important task of accelerating growth and innovation amongst Denmark’s robotics, automation and drone companies. Odense Robotics has a strong foundation with many opportunities ahead, and we hope to find a strong candidate for this exciting role.”
