Onboarding your international talent

Companies can access several services designed to support them in preboarding and onboarding international employees. Danish lessons, intro meetings, spouse support and a chatbot are some of the offers available right now.

The EU project Moving Global Talent aims to make it easier for robot, automation and drone companies in Denmark to attract, onboard and retain highly-qualified talent from abroad by providing companies with a toolbox to smoothly and successfully help new international employees transition. Odense Robotics has teamed up with partners such as work-live-stay, International Community Odense, A2B and Odense Municipality to provide internationals with the best possible assistance.

One of the current services available is a one-hour intro meeting with Odense Robotics’ Global Onboarding Manager Randi Mørk Lildballe upon an international’s arrival in Denmark. Here they can get advice on anything from social activities, schools, language courses, hobbies, and career opportunities for spouses/partners.

“We want to provide optimal conditions for integrating highly-educated international talent in Denmark, which we do by ensuring they have access to guidance and information. This way, we can assist companies in attracting and onboarding international employees who can help take Danish companies to new heights,” says Randi Mørk Lildballe.

Randi also provides intro spouse consultancy, where the spouses and partners of international employees can meet with her before getting further assistance from International Community Odense or Odense Municipality, who both also offer career guidance.

In collaboration with A2B, Moving Global Talent also offers online Danish courses that provide internationals with simple and flexible online language lessons.

And finally, in collaboration with work-live-stay, a chatbot was developed last year as a service to companies in Denmark. Here, Danish companies can get information regarding rules, legislation and practical information when recruiting or onboarding international employees. Check it out here.
