NextGen Innovation fund
Apply for funding from our development fund in NextGen Innovation. The fund aims to strengthen innovation and collaboration within the robotics, automation and drone industry and is part of the Funen beacon of business initiative "NextGen Robotics". Applications close on 24 September 2024.
Apply for funding
We hereby invite companies to apply for funding from our development fund in NextGen Innovation. The fund aims to strengthen innovation and collaboration within the robotics and drone sectors and is part of the Funen beacon of business initiative "NextGen Robotics". This initiative ensures that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can contribute to and benefit from the growing ecosystem for robotics and drones.
Read about the fund and its requirements in Danish here or in English here on this site.
Purpose of the NextGen Innovation fund
The fund aims to mobilise companies within the following three areas of strength:
- Large Structure Production: Promoting production technologies for large structures, such as those used in offshore, wind turbines, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Advanced Drones: Developing and utilising advanced drone technologies that can revolutionise various sectors through improved efficiency and new applications.
- Autonomous Coastal Shipping: Supporting the development of autonomous technology for nearshore shipping, which can enhance safety and efficiency in maritime operations.
Who can apply - and what funds are there?
We encourage all SMEs working within one or more of these areas to apply for funding from the fund. Projects should have the potential to create significant innovation and contribute to the overall efforts of the beacon of business initiative, resulting in new market opportunities.
A minimum of one company and one knowledge institution (e.g., University, University College, or GTS) must collaborate on the project.
The fund supports development projects with up to DKK 390,000. Of this, companies can receive a maximum of DKK 225,000, and the knowledge institution can receive DKK 165,000.
Support is calculated as 50% of the incurred wage costs in the development project for companies and 100% for the knowledge institution. The support is provided as "de minimis aid" according to EU state aid rules.
What does the fund support?
The fund can support projects that meet the following criteria:
- Promote collaboration between companies and other actors in the ecosystem.
- Contribute to the development of new technologies and solutions within the three areas of strength.
- Have the potential to create new market opportunities and growth for SMEs.
- Contribute to sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions.
