Test your cybersecurity
The risk of cyberattack is increasing – and companies are facing a wave of new legislation. Next year, new EU regulations for cybersecurity will demand that robotics, automation and drone companies meet increased safety and documentation requirements for their entire value chain. A new programme offers key knowledge and tools, so you can turn cybersecurity the challenge into a competitive advantage. First stop is a free test measuring your cybersecurity maturity.
While digitalisation opens up many opportunities, it also presents complex challenges and increased cyber threats. What is more, new legislation is beckoning in a new era for digital standards – increasing cybersecurity requirements for Denmark’s robotics, automation and drone companies.
The EU has approved the NIS2 Directive, which increases requirements for cybersecurity across the value chain. Companies must be able to document that they meet the requirements by 17 October 2024.
Additional EU legislation is on the way next year: the Cyber Resilience Act. It introduces cybersecurity rules for manufacturers and developers of products with digital elements, covering hardware and software. It aims to ensure that software and products connected to the internet are more secure, and that manufacturers are responsible for cybersecurity throughout a product’s life cycle.
New programme – start with free maturity test
To help Danish robotics, automation and drone companies meet the new regulations, Odense Robotics is offering a new programme: Cyber Safe Robotics in collaboration with the Danish Industry Foundation (Industriens Fond).
The programme offers tools and knowledge on six key topics relating to cybersecurity in the value chain:
- Regulations
- Turning compliance into a competitive parameter
- Safe software development
- Securing leadership and organisational focus
- Documentation requirements of your own or suppliers’ supply chain
- Training in dealing with crisis situations relating to safety issues in your value chain
To kick-start the programme, Odense Robotics is offering a free test to measure your company’s cybersecurity maturity. This test will be sent to all members and additional robotics, automation and drone companies in Denmark in the coming weeks by the analyst agency Wilke.
On completing the test, you will receive an individual assessment of your company’s cybersecurity maturity. On the basis of the results, you and Odense Robotics can discuss participation in Cyber Safe Robotics. Around 75 robotics and drone companies in Denmark will be invited to participate in parts of or in the full programme, which starts in March 2024.
