How would you describe the robotics and drone environment in northern Jutland?
While Northen Jutland is a comparatively small region, it has an abundance of robot and drone companies in all shapes and sizes. The biggest players in the robotics area are obviously Bila A/S and Technicon A/S, but we also have a lot of startup and SME activity in the drone department with companies like Airflight ApS and MyDefence A/S.
At the same time, one of the world’s highest ranked engineering universities, Aalborg University, is located at the centre of the region, with a research portfolio rivalling SDU and at the same time being the biggest producer of relevant engineers within these areas in all of Denmark.
How will you help realize this potential?
I bring in a lot of experience in business development and fundraising for developing new products – ensuring that the companies’ technologies remains state of the art. I have a broad network in the industry already and through my close collaboration with Aalborg University I will ensure an easy access point to Aalborg University for our members.
What experience can you draw on to make a difference for the industry?
