Join Odense Robotics, University of Southern Denmark, Innovation Centre Denmark, and IHFC- I Hub Foundation for Cobotics, TIH, IIT D for an inspiring delegation visit to New Delhi in June 2025. Explore the Indian market for robotics, automation, and drones through exclusive access to cutting-edge research, innovation centers, and key industry players. This is a unique opportunity to connect with India’s fast-growing robotics ecosystem and discover new possibilities for collaboration and growth.
India is experiencing significant growth in robotics and is ranked 7th globally for robot installations in 2024 (World Robotics Report). Collaborative robots (Cobots), a Danish strength, are in high demand not only in manufacturing but also in service industries.
Key trends include increased integration of cobots into smart manufacturing systems driven by Industry 4.0 and IoT. Technologies like AI, smart vision, and sensor-enabled cobots are being widely adopted, with many Indian robotics startups focusing on these innovations. The demand for human-robot collaboration in manufacturing and logistics is growing rapidly.
India’s robotics market is on a strong growth trajectory, with annual production of 5,000 – 6,000 robots and total sales reaching USD 677 million in 2022. The market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.21% through 2027. While automotive and electronics dominate, sectors like warehousing, FMCG, logistics, plastics, healthcare, and retail are quickly adopting robotics, creating ample opportunities for collaboration and growth.
During the delegation visit, you can explore collaboration opportunities and strengthen the technology network with representatives from the Indian research and industry sector.
The delegation visit is open to academic institutions and Danish companies working with robotics, automation and drones.
The programme runs from Monday 23 June to Friday 27 June with arrival on Sunday 22 June and departure from Friday evening 27 June.
Deadline for registration is 1 June 2025
5 day programme in – and around New Delhi with visits to research institutions, innovation centers, incubators, and a visit to IHFC- I Hub Foundation for Cobotics, TIH, IIT D which is India’s premier robotics and AI hub, driving innovation and collaboration across industry and academia, as well as a half-day visit to the India Warehousing Show.
Estimated participation cost – TBA
The delegation visit is part of the project ‘Global Innovation Network Programme – Building Robotics Network’, and this year’s delegation activities offer a unique opportunity to explore and connect with two of Asia’s fast-evolving and most important robotics markets – India and South Korea.
The journey begins with a visit to India in June 2025, where participants will gain valuable insights into the country’s rapidly growing ecosystem for robotics, automation and drones. And in early November 2025, the programme continues with a delegation visit to South Korea, further strengthening the trilateral network between Denmark, India, and South Korea. Together, these visits aim to lay the groundwork for future partnerships, joint research, and innovation projects across borders.
