Odense Robotics StartUp Hub for innovative robotics and technology companies at the Danish Technological Institute is turning five years old, which will be celebrated online on 11 February 2021.
Since 2016, the StartUp Hub has welcomed 25 companies into an acceleration programme for innovative robotics and technology companies with great potential.
The Hub’s five years as a robotics ecosystem will be celebrated at an online event on:
Thursday, 11 February 2021 from 15.30 – 17.00
and will include, among others, the international robotics expert Henrik Christensen, who helped counsel former President Barack Obama on robots. Christensen will talk about what to expect from the future.
The Mayor of Odense Peter Rahbæk Juel will open the event, and companies Aim Robotics and Lorenz Technology – some of the Hub’s former residents – will share talks about what the Hub meant to them. Here they will share their experiences as well as their takes on what to do and what not to do in order to become a successful startup.
The event will be conducted in Danish (the Danish invitation can be found here).
A joyous flashback and a hopeful look at the future
Technology is constantly developing and at a rapid speed. This is why it is important to not only look back at the past five years, but also to look at what the future has in store and what future robot technologies will look like. In addition to this, Rolf Kjærgaard, CEO of Vækstfonden, will emphasise what exactly it means for startups, growth and innovation to have an internationally recognised and specialised acceleration programme for innovative robotics startups in Denmark.
Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Jacobs School of Engineering at UC San Diego Henrik Christensen will take participants through what the future has in store for us. Christensen helped build robotics institutes in Scandinavia and the US.
Journalist Pernille Kjær Nielsen from TV 2 Fyn – who has followed the StartUp Hub from the very beginning – will moderate the event.
Participation is open to all – sign up and help us celebrate the StartUp Hub. The event will take place online due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
