Together with the European robotics industry and manufacturing industry, AI-MATTERS aims to mature new intelligent robotic solutions by building a network of physical and digital facilities across Europe, focused on increasing the resilience and the flexibility of the European manufacturing sector through the deployment of the latest developments in AI, robotics, smart and autonomous systems – thereby helping tech companies that are close to market with solutions.

Ultimately, it’s about ensuring that the European manufacturing industry becomes a global leader within the use of artificial intelligence and robots.

AI-MATTERS will provide an extensive catalogue of services spanning the following key topics: factory-level optimization, human-robot interaction, circular economy and adoption of emerging AI enabling technologies.

Eligibility and prices will be available at the launch of the initial catalogue.

AI-MATTERS is an initiative from the European Commission with a budget of 450 million kroner, which will be invested over the next five years. Around 50 million kroner will be invested in Danish facilities.

AI-MATTERS will establish test and experimentation facilities from 2023-2027.

The initiative has locations in eight European countries (Denmark, Germany, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, and Spain), and is one of the EU’s four big initiatives within AI.

Danish Technological Insitute is heading Danish efforts with collaboration from Odense Robotics, Alexandra Institute and Force Technology.
