Startups
Building a successful startup is no easy task. That's why we have a strong focus on offering startups - companies established less than three years ago - with the best possible conditions for innovation and growth. Through events, networks and projects, startups can accelerate their innovation, improve their supply chain, build their strategy and connect with investors.
Robotic and drone startups can apply for a place in Odense Robotics StartUp Hub, a world-class robotic incubator located at the Danish Technological Institute. Technical robotic experts and business mentors are at hand at the Hub to offer advice on technical and business aspects. This setup enables startups to accelarate their development and go from concept to commercialisation in record time. The Hub offers free office and prototyping facilities: product development machinery, robots, 3D printing, vision equipment, mobile platforms, grippers etc. Learn more here.
Innovation
Developing innovative products, solutions and technologies is typically costly and time consuming. We help companies at every stage of the development process - from early explorative innovation to late-stage innovation / next generation development. Companies have the opportunity to collaborate with some of Denmark's leading researchers. By tapping into this deep technical know-how, companies can both accelerate and improve their innovation level. Companies can also access financial support through projects and business development expertise.
The cluster focuses on the following technical areas:
- Autonomous systems
- Drones as a tool
- Multi-robot-systems
- Robots & AI
- Safe human-robot interaction

A fast-growing global industry
Denmark is the world’s fastest growing robot nation within industrial robots in terms of exports. From 2014 to 2018, Denmark’s exports of industrial robots have increased sixfold – a growth rate that far outstrips any other country. Denmark’s robot exports are now larger than countries such as the U.S., Sweden and Holland.
